Blood Creek (also known as Creek and Town Creek), not to be confused with the 2006 Canadian movie of the same name, is a 2009 horror film directed by Joel Schumacher. This film had a limited theatrical release in the USA in September, 2009, and in the UK in October, 2009. It was released to DVD on January 19, 2010. The film stars Dominic Purcell and Henry Cavill as brothers on a mission of revenge when they become trapped in a harrowing occult experiment dating back to the Third Reich.
In 1936, a German family living in rural Town Creek, Maryland, are contacted by the Third Reich to host a visiting scholar. In need of money, they accept the project. However the scholar’s occult project seals the family off from the rest of the world and makes them players in a horrifying game of survival.
Seventy one years later, in 2007, Evan Marshall is left without answers after his older brother Victor's disappearance from a camping trip near Town Creek. Evan has tried to move on with his life, but Victor returns one night, very much alive and having escaped his captors. At his brother's request, Evan loads their rifles, packs up their boat and follows Victor back to Town Creek on a mission of revenge.
"Blood Creek" aims to be a feral and relentless horror thriller, with the opening 40 minutes of the movie dedicated solely to nail-biting tension.
